Pedal Dancer® - A bike travel blog for fans and cyclists. Interest, information and enthusiasm about being a fan, cycling, traveling, and riding a bike. Light on opinion, heavy on information and joy of the sport. Quality of information is very important to me as well as creating a sense of cycling community for visiting fans to any bike race. Pedal Dancer is a sport and travel guide with cycling photography, maps, stories and travel recommendations.

At the Race at Tour of California Stage 6

They didn't catch him!
Finally a breakaway then a lone rider who was in the front for 185km out of 186 km was not caught by the peloton in the last few kilometers, this time he made it across the line. Sylvain Georges showed incredible tenacity. How glorious it was to watch his effort pay off today to take the win in Big Bear. Did you find yourself cheering - go go go! I certainly did.
A few images from the day from the start in Palmdale and the climbs along Angeles Crest. We have collected hundreds, but tomorrow we are riding our bikes up to Mt Baldy, so the rest will be coming soon.
