Word of the day: tifosi

The Tifosi are out in mass today at Milano-Sanremo
Tifosi an Italian word to describe a group of super-fans, sports enthusiasts. Tifosi is used for a mixed gender or an all-male group;
masculine singular tifoso
feminine singular tifosa,
feminine plural tifose
Ah Milano-Sanremo - this is cycling at it's best! This morning I am reading CyclingNews.com live text updates while watching the live video of the race and scenery in Italy on GazzettaTV (with comments from Ivan Basso and Mario Cipollini and many more). Do I listen to the live Video/Audio in English on Eurosport, or continue listening to the Italian commentators on Gazzetta who fit the mood of the race better. I can imagine being part of the Tifosi along the course. Cycling in Italy - fantastico!
