Team Omega Pharma-Quickstep 2012 Specialized Venge

In 2011 the team previously rode Canyon bikes (Omega Pharma) and Merckx bikes (Quick Step). Now that the team has changed title sponsorship, they are also changing equipment sponsorship. After sponsoring HTC-Highroad, Astana and Saxo Bank-Sungard in 2011, Specialized will be taking on the Omega Pharma-Quickstep team along with Astana and Saxo-Bank Sungard, and remaining with the Specialized-Lululemon (former HTC-Highroad) women's team for 2012. Specialized will supply the teams with Tarmac SL4, Venge, Roubaix SL3 road bikes, Shiv TT time trial bikes, and helmets.

I imagine this is one happy team to be back on Specialized bikes after the recent engineering changes and tremendous race results in the 2011 season. It is understood that some riders made their decision to sign with the Omega Pharma-Quickstep team based on the equipment sponsorships. The new Omega Pharma-Quickstep riders who will be joining Tom Boonen and Sylvain Chavenel on a Specialized bike in 2012 include: Tony Martin, Levi Leipheimer, Peter Velits, Martin Velits, Stijn Vandebergh, Matteo Trentin, Michal Golas, Michal Kwiatkowski, Frantisek Rabon, Andrew Fenn, Matthew Brammeier, Bert Grabsch, Kristof Vandewalle, Guillaume Van Keirsbulck, and Gert Steegmans. 

Lucky team, lucky riders.

What a beauty! I noticed that this new bike is in the Pedal Dancer team colors and so for the 2012 season I am changing team bikes from my 2011 Pedal Dancer Ridley frame to this frame.
